I am a history teacher taking a year out to pursue other interests and courses of post-graduate study. This blog contains my first attempts at writing fanfiction, or any form of fiction. It is very much a working document and subject to many re-edits.What I write is based on the wonderful works of J.R.R. Tolkien, (edited by C. Tolkien), and is purely for my own pleasure and relaxation. I certainly do not do this for profit of any kind. Some chapters are at present submited to ff.net and 'The Council of Elrond' sites, although Nerdanel's Story is undergoing a lot of re-writing at the moment. There are many ideas and some names that I have taken from the 'History of Middle-Earth' series, so some terminology may be unknown to those who have just read 'The Silmarillion'. I am not an expert on Professor Tolkien, Quenya, or on writing, so I will probably make lots of mistakes! But as I mentioned, I am doing this for fun, and happy to learn as I go from those whose writings and thoughtfulness I admire. The avatar is one of my own sketches of Nerdanel.

Just a really short post to let people know I am still alive, and intend to add a lot more to the blog soon.

I have had a really busy two weeks with my husband on 'holiday' and determined to totally renovate the house...and maybe garden..(we do have four days left!) I don't know about him, but I am more exhausted as this 'holiday' progresses.

And we have had to go walking most days, and had a couple of really nice countryside 'adventures', and a couple of historic location trips.....but I sort of want a return to normality now, please!

So I am really really sorry for not getting back to those who have PMed and e-mailed me recently.

The only thing altered on the blog at the moment is that I have re-edited and added a lot to the Míriel' chapter.

Next week I should be back to having writing and answering time, and I am looking forward to catching up with folk again.

Hi!

I'm soooooo glad you've been enjoying your two weeks with your husband, as well as getting a lot of work done. :) God has *perfect* timing, because these past two weeks I've been rather busy myself.

I got your PMs -- thank you! It's so nice to taste a waffle again. ;) I'll try to reply tomorrow, if I can.
(Today is the big school day, as you know, and tonight I'll be at my best friend's house. She has agreed to help me work out the plotline of Celebrían's story. Yay! *claps giddily*)

Love, hugs, and powdered sugar. :)

Hello, Eru_Melin :-)

It has been good timing then! Don't be concerned about replying quickly to the PMs. I know that you are busy with school. :-)

I am not the quickest person at replying, myself! :-(

I hope that you have / have had a great time at your best freind's place, and I can understand your excitement at working out more of your plotline. I would love to know how it develops when you are ready to tell about it!

Anyway, enjoy the weekend, and I will be in touch again soon with some of the newer writing.

Love and hugs...and dark chocolate.( At least dark chocolate is what I have recently developed a craving for. Less substantial than waffles..I know! ;-) )

Hooray! It's Labor Day, meaning there's no school and all the time in the world for PM'ing!!!

*gasps for breath*

Again, I'm sorry if I've been tardy in my replies. The weekend turned out to be busier then I thought. :) I'll try to get caught up today, which would be great. I really need to improve my typing speed....

Och, and I'm simply BURSTIN' wi' news to tell ye, lass! My best friend has been a great help, and now I have a few 'revelations' on Celebrían's story that I'd *love* to share with you.

Hopefully I will get that typed up today.

In the meantime: love, hugs, and milk chocolate! (Gotta love it...yum!)

I've started liking dark chocolate, lately, as well. Good to know you're still alive over there.

I was apprehensive about grad school before it started, but my wife commented today that she hasn't heard be make a, "If I were teaching this year..." comment in quite a while. LOL $*%& teaching! ;)

Thank you for your PMs and E-mails and for keeping up the encouragement. :) I have just finished the 'Curvo' chapter that has been hanging around for the last couple of weeks. On to Ambarussa now..and more of Flame Rekindled.

Okay..I like all sorts of chocolate. But I loathed dark chocolate when I was younger. Maybe it is something you grow into?
